Citroen India has officially teased the Dark Editions of the C3 hatchback and Aircross SUV. The teaser, shared on the brand’s social media platforms, offers glimpses of the exterior and interior updates that set these editions apart.

Citroen Dark Edition – What to expect?
The Dark Editions feature a stealthy black exterior paint scheme, complemented by dark chrome accents on the grille, badges, and alloy wheels. The headlamps are expected to sport a smoked-out finish, enhancing the overall aggressive look. Inside, the cabin gets an all-black theme with red contrast stitching on the seats and dashboard. The seats also feature embossed Citroen branding in red, adding a premium touch.
While the cosmetic updates are the highlight, the feature list is expected to remain unchanged. Both models will likely come equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. Safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill-hold assist will also be carried over.
Engine updates?
Mechanically, the Dark Editions are expected to retain the same powertrain options as their standard counterparts. Both the C3 and Aircross are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82 hp and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 110 hp. The turbo variant comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the naturally aspirated engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Citroen Dark Editions – expected pricing
The Dark Editions are likely to be based on the top-spec trims, offering the turbo-petrol engine as standard. Pricing is expected to be slightly higher than the standard variants, reflecting the premium cosmetic upgrades.
Citroen’s move to introduce Dark Editions aligns with the growing popularity of blacked-out models in the Indian market. Rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier/Safari, and Mahindra XUV700 have already found success with similar editions, making this a strategic addition to Citroen’s portfolio.
