The newly debuted Superb Combi Pickup has taken its inspiration from the Tour de France bicycle championship. It has been designed by the Skoda Auto Vocational School students, and it took over 2,000 hours to carefully curate it.
It is called L&K 130, which celebrates the 130-year anniversary of Skoda Auto globally. The concept car has been draped in a beautiful tri-colour combo, which features white, gold, and red exterior paint.
The car features a custom roof rack to carry bicycles, while the rear section expands electronically to create more space to easy access for bicycle loading/unloading.
The rear doors feature a sliding mechanism, which has been carefully designed keeping in mind the safety of bicycle riders during the race. It also allows easy ingress/egress of mechanics, support crew, and medics.
The interiors of the support car also get the same tri-colour treatment as the exterior. Additionally, it gets a dashboard-mounted screen to monitor the real-time race data and the riders.
Skoda will put this special edition car on display from July 5 to July 27, 2025, at the Tour de France Championship 2025.
Our verdict
The special edition Superb Combi Pickup car will surely attract a lot of people at the upcoming bicycle championship. However, for the Indian market, the Czech carmaker is all set to launch the Superb diesel sedan later this year.
