Triumph has announced that the iconic British brand has partnered with equally iconic guitar company Gibson. Under the partnership, the brands have brought together the 1959 Bonneville T120 motorcycle and the 1959 Les Paul Standard guitar. This collaboration will bring together a one-of-a-kind custom edition of today’s generation of each legendary model. The motorcycle will also come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, and Cesar Gueikian, Brand President of Gibson.
The Cause
The brand has also revealed that the partnership will support The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, in its global charity efforts for men’s mental health, prostate cancer awareness and fundraising. The 2022 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a major milestone for the company and marks nine incredible years of support. The brand also reveals that the ride attracts 100,000 riders in over 900 cities across the world, raising over USD 31million USD for men’s mental health and prostate cancer awareness. The brand has revealed that the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will take place on 22nd May 2022 (Sunday). The pre-registration for the ride is already open for riders across the world, and official registration and fundraising starts on 28th March 2022.
Triumph Bonneville T120 ‘1959 Legends Custom Edition’ – Highlights
The 1959 Bonneville T120 and the Legends custom edition Les Paul Standard Reissue will feature a host of beautiful hand-detailed custom touches, designed and applied in Triumph’s factory workshop, revealed Triumph. The 1959 Legends Custom Edition features unique Gibson design detailing. This includes a hand-painted sunburst paint scheme, which comes with a Jet Black painted guitar neck and headstock shape. The motorcycle also comes edged with hand-painted coach lining.
The Triumph Bonneville T120 comes with a low-profile electroformed metallic gold “Triumph Gibson 1959 Legends”, which have been applied to the tank, side panels and also the front mudguard. The motorcycle also comes with a laser-etched fuel filler cap featuring the Gibson logo. The motorcycle also comes with a brown real leather seat matching with the leather guitar case. In addition to this, the seat also comes with diamond stitching, embroidered Triumph logo and custom pick holders. alternator badge featuring intricate detailing and the “Triumph Gibson 1959

Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard
The Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard is the go-to guitar synonymous with rock and roll. Guitar heroes such as Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and Guns N’ Roses’ Slash. The brand has also revealed that the iconic instrument can produce “thunderous riffs, molten solos and warm, clean tones” in the right hands.
Triumph T120 Bonneville
The Triumph T120 Bonneville comes with a 1200cc twin-cylinder high torque engine. The engine produces 80 PS of power and 105 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a wet, multi-plate torque-assist clutch. The T120 also comes with lightweight aluminium wheel rims and a major 7kg weight saving. Also on offer is a new higher specification Brembo brake setup, new rider technology, cruise control and enhanced riding modes.
