Check out the Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid

The Mercedes-AMG E53 AMG has made its debut in the international market. Mercedes-Benz will be bringing the E53 AMG Hybrid in two body styles – Sedan and Estate and the later is not likely to be available in some markets including the US as well as India. However, the sedan AMG E53 Hybrid is likely to go on sale soon. The brand is also likely to bring the Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid to Indian soil in the near future and retail it alongside the Mercedes-AMG E53 cabriolet.

Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid – Technical Details

First things first, the Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid will come with a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine. the engine produces 449 PS of power and 560 Nm of torque. The performance hybrid engine is supplemented by a 120 kW electric motor with 480 Nm of torque. In the RACE START function the engine produces 612 PS of power and 750 Nm of torque.

The engine comes with an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission. This means that the AMG E53 Hybrid can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. The car is also capable of reaching and electronically limited speed of 250 kmph. In addition to this, the Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid equipped with a high-voltage battery is capable of a pure electric range of up to 93 – 101 km.

The Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+ comes with a fully variable all-wheel drive. Furthermore, the car also comes with AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension that reduces the body pitch and roll in all drive programs. The suspension system also claims to offer comfortable damping and a firmer sportier driving set-up. The E53 Hybrid also comes with standard rear-axle steering, for better manoeuvrability as well as more stability when driving around town.

Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid – Key Features

The Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid comes with AMG Performance steering wheel in Leather Nappa and programmable AMG steering wheel buttons. The car also gets a high-resolution driver’s display and the central display. The display also comes with AMG-specific display content. The car also gets contoured sports seats, air vents with AMG elements and switches in silver chrome along with black AMG trim elements.

Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid – “Edition 1”

Mercedes-AMG will also be offer a limited special AMG “Edition 1” model with MANUFACTURE alpine grey uni or MANUFACTURE opalite white magno exterior paint option. The Merceded-AMG E53 Hybrid Edition 1 will also comes with a black film finish with “AMG” lettering and 21-inch AMG forged wheels in cross-spoke design.
