This special F-150 is based on the Lariat 4×4 SuperCrew. It gets a 5.0-litre V8 engine which usually develops 400 HP. However, Shelby has gone all out and offers an optional supercharger which boosts the power output to 800 HP.

Other hardware changes include Raptor-style Fox shock absorbers. These shocks can be tuned both for maximum comfort or extreme off-roading. Shelby has also redesigned the insides of the SUV. It now comes with a dual-tone upholstery, Shelby-branded mats, tinted windows and a unique Shelby serial number. That said, few of the standard features of the Ford F-150 like the Pro Power Onboard mobile generator and Over-the-air (OTA) updates continue to be retained.

Carroll Shelby : More Details

The President of the Shelby American recalls about Shelby fondly. Shelby was attributed to a lot of automotive things during his lifetime and was a fan of motoring both on road and off the roads. Across the tough Texas terrain, he would often cross the desert in his two-wheelers as well as four-wheelers. The first production Ford Bronco used to sit his in Terlingua Ranch. This special edition F-150 thus honours his side of Carroll Shelby.
