CFMoto will launch 400 NK & 400 GT in India in 2020

CFMoto has started their Indian operations on the right foot forward, and have managed over 700 bookings so far. The Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer will slowly transition their existing motorcycles to BSVI compliance, but will also introduce more motorcycles in 2020. CFMoto has revealed that they will launch the 400 NK & 400 GT next year. These launches will happen after April 2020, and the new models will come with BSVI engines from day 1.

Styling of both the motorcycles, the 400 NK & 400 GT are similar to the elder siblings 650 NK & 650 GT. The NK series is a streetfighter naked motorcycle range while the GT is a sports tourer range in the CFMoto showrooms. Pricing for the bigger motorcycles is already out, asking for INR 3.99 lakh and INR 5.49 lakh respectively. So this gives us a reference for expected pricing, which will surely be very competitive. The new models will come with almost 50% localisation unlike the current CKD models, further boosting a competitive price tag.

The 400 NK & 400 GT will have a 400.4cc, liquid-cooled, 2-cylinder, 8-valve, DOHC motor with Bosch fuel-injection matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The 400 NK has a kerb weight of 206 kg and the 400 GT will weigh 226 kg, making both the bikes very heavy in their respective segments. Even a few litre-class models weigh less. The brand claims top speed of 155 kmph for the 400 NK and it might be slightly higher on the GT thanks to the full fairing helping in aerodynamics. The naked version will have a 17L fuel tank while the sports tourer will have 19L tank capacity. Both motorcycles will come with dual-channel ABS system for safety.

CFMoto is also likely to launch the 300 SR & 700 CL-X in India.
