CFMoto reveals 800 MT Explore Edition adventure motorcycle

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

The China-based two-wheeler manufacturer, CFMoto has some good news. It has finally showcased to us the new Explore Edition of its 800 MT adventure touring model. This update brings in more tech and features when compared to other trims. The key inclusion is the radar-based blind spot detection systems. This we have already seen in the Ducati Multistrada V4.

What’s New With The CFMoto 800MT?

The new CFMoto 800MT Explore Edition equipped radar sensors at the back of the motorcycle. This helps in the detection of vehicles in the blind spot of the rider and alerts them on the instrument cluster. With this feature, lane changing becomes so much easier and safer, especially on the highway amidst fast-moving vehicles. Besides the inclusion of this blind spot detector, the Explore Edition also equips a new eight-inch TFT console. This is a touch-sensitive unit that also gets Bluetooth connectivity and voice control.

The 800MT Explore benefits from changes on the hardware front. CFMoto has added a slew of mechanicals to make it a better off-roader. The motorcycle now wears dual-purpose tires from Michelin. Meanwhile, CFMoto has also worked on the traction control system for lesser intrusion and a more seamless experience. The engine, meanwhile, remains the same and thus no changes have been done. Powering the motorcycle is the KTM’s LC8C engine. This power unit makes around 95 BHP and 75 Nm of peak torque. Braking power comes from J Juan disc brakes at both ends. The specifications are 320mm and 260mm in diameter for the front and rear discs, respectively.

India Launch Might Happen Very Soon

The CFMoto 800 MT Explore Edition is now the top-of-spec trim. It will sit on top of the Sport and Touring versions of the motorcycle. As of now, we do not have the pricing as the CFMoto has not made any official announcements yet. And chances are high that we get to see this motorcycle for the Indian market as well in the future.
