Ceat ensuring Road Safety on Samruddhi Mahamarg in Maharashtra

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Ceat has announced its partnership with the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Department and the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). This is for its highway road safety initiative.

Ceat Spreads Road Safety Awareness

This collaboration is an effort towards raising road awareness. It will mainly reflect upon the importance of maintaining tyre condition and proper inflation while travelling on the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. The initiative will go on for three months. And in the future, Ceat is planning to include other highways across Maharashtra.

As a part of this, Ceat will suggest that travellers check the tyre pressures at dedicated kiosks. This will happen at the starting points of the Samruddhi Mahamarg before embarking on their journey. Ceat confirmed that this is a free-of-cost service for travellers.

Key Features Of This Initiative

The first key feature of this collaboration is nitrogen filling. This helps to maintain proper tyre pressure for an extended period. Thus, reducing the risk of tyre failure due to under-inflation.

Drivers will also get the chance to check the tyre wear. Trained technicians will inspect the condition of the tyres to help identify any signs of wear and tear. This will ensure that motorists are aware of their tyre’s health.

Drivers can also check for valve and puncture Repair. These kiosks will also offer valve checks and puncture repair services.

Alarming Rate of Accidents On Samruddhi Mahamarg

With an aim to conveniently cater to travellers, these kiosks have been strategically placed at the Shirdi and Nagpur Toll Plazas. These are operational starting from 7 am to 11 pm. There has been an alarming rise in accidents on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. Thus Ceat has recognised the pressing need to build awareness and implement road safety services. With this partnership with Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Department and MSRDC, Ceat aims to embark on this activity of promoting responsible driving practices among motorists on the Samruddhi Mahamarg and beyond.
