Written by AnantaSaranNayak

BYD has officially started with the deliveries of the batch of its premium eMPV. A total of 30 units of the e6 MPV will make their way to their respective owners present in 6 cities. These are Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Delhi and Mumbai. Ever since BYD mentioned its entry, there has been quite a positive response from the Indian market. As of now, BYD India has appointed six dealers across 8 Indian cities. Given the increasing demand for BYD products, the company will add more dealerships and solidify its position in the market. To improve the customer experience, BYD dealerships are well equipped with products, completely covered workshops, and showrooms.

What Is The e6 eMPV?

The product first made its impression when it was launched in India in November last year. Firstly, it will only be available for the B2B segment. The main highlight of this MPV is its boot capacity of 580-litres. And with this, it is one of the largest in its category. Retailing at INR 29,60,000 ex-showroom with the 7kW charger and INR 29,15,000 ex-showroom without the 7kW charger, the MPV has a hefty sticker price. But, to justify the price tag, e6 does get a host of features and kits. One of the key features of the e6 is Bosch’s latest IPB intelligent brake control system. This helps with fast response and a smooth linear braking feel.

Furthermore, the platform that underpins the e6 is also quite efficient in terms of weight, and driving experience. In terms of driving range, BYD claims a WLTC range of 520 km. The equipped 71.7 kWh Blade Battery is powerful enough to give the customers a safe and hassle-free driving experience. To enable a hassle-free charging experience, e6 supports both AC and DC fast charging. The DC fast charging enables juice up from 30% to 80% within 35 minutes. Blade also claims that its batteries are the best in the industry. The new generation lithium iron phosphate battery has set new benchmarks in terms of reliability, safety, performance, and power density.
