BYD India adds 6 dealers to cover 8 cities in B2B segment

The subsidiary of Warren Buffet, BYD, has announced its plans of adding 6 dealers across 8 cities in India. As one of the world’s leading new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers, BYD aims to expand its dealer network. Originated and established in Chennai, the company is currently associated with 6 renowned auto dealers to strengthen its EV presence. BYD India provides new energy solutions encompassing energy acquisition, storage, and application to help revolutionize India’s environment-friendly solution.

BYD India: Dealership management details

The company plans to unveil the 6 new dealerships in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Vijayawada. The company states that Cargo Motors will cover Ahmedabad, and PPS Motors Group will manage Bangalore and Vijayawada. Meanwhile, KUN Auto Group will manage Chennai, Mody Group will handle Hyderabad, and EVM Autokraft will manage Kochi. Finally, Landmark Automobiles will manage the dealerships of New Delhi and Mumbai.

These dealerships will provide a holistic experience by offering sales and services for the customers of the e6 electric MPV. Focussing on the B2B segment, the new dealership network will also provide a sales consultancy as per business requirements. BYD India has stated that it will ensure the safety of its customers and staff at its upcoming dealerships. This includes safety measures such as social distancing and sanitization in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

BYD India: Environment Protection Achievements

Executive Director of BYD India Private Limited, Mr Ketsu Zhang, stated that its e-buses achieved a new record. The e-buses managed to climb 3,980 meters into the Himalayas by overcoming challenging road and temperature conditions. By covering 30 million kilometres in India, BYD buses have reduced carbon emissions by 31,250 tonnes. This is equal to planting over 2.5 million trees which signifies the company’s leadership in the electric bus segment.

BYD e6 MPV: Highlights 

In early November 2021, BYD India launched its e6 MPV at a price tag of INR 2,960,000 (ex-showroom). For the B2B segment, however, the brand has priced the electric MPV at INR 2,915,000 (ex-showroom). Using BYD’s e-Platform, the MPV sports LED daytime running lights and LED rear combination lamps along with a rearview camera.

BYD India has ensured to use of electric powertrain components for reducing weight, optimizing efficiency, and improving the driving experience. In the interior, the electric MPV gets dual airbags, automatic speed-sensing door locks, along with a seat belt reminder. The brand has implemented a 10.1-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity inside the MPV.

The e6 also sports a CN95 Air filtration system, 6-way adjustable front seats, and a medical-grade air purification face mask. BYD India offers a 3-year/125,000 Km warranty on the e6 and an 8-year/500,000 km on the battery. Additionally, the brand also offers an 8-year/150,000 Km warranty on the traction motor of the e6.
