BYD is on an expansion spree in India. The company recently inaugurated its first passenger vehicles showroom in Chennai. Now the carmaker has inaugurated its second showroom in Hyderabad. Like the Chennai outlet, this too will be run by the KUN Group. The KUN HYD outlet will help the brand penetrate deeper into the Telangana market.
KUN HYD Details
The 4,600 sq. ft. KUN HYD outlet is located in Gachibowli. The location is one of the top destinations for many of the premium and luxury car brands in the city. The new location will allow Hyderabad residents, as well as those in the surrounding areas, to come to experience the BYD products. Unlike traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, the electric vehicles are still in the very nascent stage of retail. Such dealerships will play a vital role in the brand’s success in India.
KUN Group is one of the most well-known and established players in the automotive dealer network in South India. They are well known for their sales and after-sales customer satisfaction.
BYD plans for India
While this is just the second outlet, the electric car maker is aiming to open 25 showrooms across 21 cities pan-India by the end of this year. In 2023, they aim to increase the total showroom count to 52. BYD will also be attending the 2023 Auto Expo, and they have lined up even more electric vehicles for our market.
BYD has also undertaken ‘Cool the Earth by 1 degree celsius’ initiative. To this end, they will continue to leverage technological innovations for a better life and promote sustainable development of society to ultimately reach the goal of lowering Earth’s temperature by 1 degree.
Recently, BYD launched its second offering in India. The BYD Atto 3 SUV is priced at INR 33,99,000 (ex-showroom).
