Bugatti has unveiled its latest one-off hypercar, the Chiron Profilee. The new Profilee is said to have been in development since 2020, i.e. 2 years before now. Bugatti is making it a less radical version of the Chiron Pur Sport. Bugatti had initially planned a limited batch production run for the Profilee. Similar to all other iterations of the hypercar we saw to date. However, given all of Chiron’s 500 slots accounted for, Bugatti decided to introduce it as a One-off model.
What Is The Bugatti Chiron Profilee?
Although based on the Pur Sport, the Bugatti Chiron Profilee comes with a host of design changes. This helps differentiate the two hypercars. The Profilee gets a larger front grille and wider air intake. The large rear wing now replaces a sleeker fixed wing. Also, the one-off hypercar also features a newly-designed set of wheels, along with a new and attractive paint finish. This is the Argent Atlantique with blue-tinted exposed carbon fibre on the lower section. On the Inside of the Profilee we see woven leather upholstery on the seats, doors and dashboard. This a first for any Chiron.
Mechanical Highlights
Mechanically, the Bugatti Chiron Profilee is pretty much identical to the Pur Sport. The one-off model uses the same quad-turbo W16 engine. The performance output of this motor reads as 1479 BHP. It comes with a claimed 0 – 100 km/h timing of 2.3 seconds and a 0 – 200 km/h time of 5.5 seconds. The top speed on the Profilee, however, has now increased to 380 km/h. This is up from the Pur Sport’s 350 km/h. The Profilee also gets the Pur Sport’s stiffer springs and a greater negative camber and shorter gear ratios. All of these provide improved handling compared to other Chiron iterations.
Launch Timeline
The Bugatti Chiron Profilee will go up for auction by RM Southeby’s on February 1, 2023, with the proceeds set to go to charity.
