Mahindra has launched the BS6 emissions-compliant Mahindra Marazzo in the BS6 avatar at the starting price of INR 11.25 lakh ex-showroom. The BS6 Mahindra Marazzo is offered in three variant trims – the base ‘M2’, the mid-spec ‘M4+’ and the top-end ‘M6+’. The Mahindra Marazzo is available in five exterior paint options – Iceberg White, Oceanic Black, Aqua Marine, Shimmering Silver and Mariner Maroon.

In terms of design and styling, the Mahindra Marazzo retains its former shape and styling cues which draw its design inspiration from the Shark and comes with a shark-tooth styled front grille with chrome accents, a brawny bumper with a large air dam, black inserts in the foglight area, a sloping bonnet with raised charecter lines, muscular wheel arches, machine-cut alloy wheels, upswept character lines on the doors, a shark-fin styled rear tail lamp cluster etc.
The biggest change is under the bonnet and the Mahindra Marazzo which is now powered by a BS6 emission-compliant 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 121 Bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. In the recent past, the brand is also being rumoured to introduce the 1.5-litre TGDi Turbocharged-Petrol unit that produces around 163 Bhp of power and 280 Nm of torque from the brand’s latest mStallion line-up.
On the interiors, the Mahindra Marazzo comes with 7-inch centrally mounted touchscreen infotainment, rotary controls on the climate control console, control mounted steering wheel, analogue-digital instrument panel, etc., but looses out on equipment such as cruise control, power-folding ORVMs, cooled glovebox and leatherette upholstery as the brand has dropped the ‘M8’ from the line-up.
In terms of safety, the Marazzo comes with dual front airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels armed with ABS and EBD, ISOFIX child restraint anchorage system, rear parking sensors, rear camera, parking assistant, cornering lamps, over-speed alert, seat belt reminder for both the driver and passenger.
