Written by Nizam Shaikh

Honda has teased us with the upcoming new BS6 compliant Grazia motorscooter which will be launched in the Indian market soon. The Honda Grazia is expected to come with a new BS6 emission-compliant 125cc single-cylinder as well as upgrades in the styling department and a new twin-pod instruments cluster.

Though the brand has not revealed details on the powertrain the BS4 Honda Grazia was powered by a 125cc single-cylinder air/fan-cooled HET engine that produced 8.52 BHP of power and 10.54 Nm of torque matched to a CVT automatic gearbox. But we speculate that the BS6 Honda Grazia will share its powerplant with the BS6 Honda Activa 125 which is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder air/fan-cooled 4-stroke single spark engine that produces 8.1 Hp of power and 10.1 Nm of torque matched to a CVT automatic.

In the styling department, the teaser does not reveal much but hints at new bodywork, graphics, new LED headlamps on the front apron, twin-split wing style crystalline LED daytime running lights on the slightly redesigned handlebar shroud, new sharper design language, refreshed tail section with newly styled tail lamps expected to be in LED. The new BS6 Grazia also features a new twin-pod fully digital instruments cluster with blue backlit bar-style rev counter and a speedometer on top along with a blue backlit multi-information display which shows the fuel, odometer, time, range etc.

In terms of mechanical hardware, the BS6 Honda Grazia comes with telescopic hydraulic front suspension, a hydraulic coil spring shock absorber on the rear, hydraulically operated disc brakes on the front and a mechanical drum brake on the rear.

The brand has also hinted that the new Grazia will benefit from the Quiet Revolution technology which means it is expected to feature ACG starter motor for silent starter operation, enhanced Smart Tumble Technology (eSTT) and the new PGM-Fi technology with HET (Honda Eco Technology).
