Bajaj has launched the updated BS6 compliant Platina 110 H Gear at the price of INR 59,802 ex-showroom, Delhi. The commuter segment Bajaj Platina H Gear was launched last year with ‘H Gear’, optimised for highway riding and maintains a balance between performance and fuel economy.
In the engine department, the Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear now features an upgraded BS6 emission compliant 115.45cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection that produces 8.6 ps of power and 9.81 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The power and torque output on the BS6 Platina 110 H Gear is identical to the BS4 compliant model.
Other than the engine upgrade the Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear remains largely unchanged and features a halogen headlamp with body-coloured shroud, a small flyscreen, upright handlebars, body-coloured fenders, body graphics, quilted pattern seats, blacked-out engine, chrome exhaust cover, Y-spoked alloy wheels and a digital-analogue instrument console with an analogue speedometer and a digital multi-information display which displays time, odometer, fuel gauge, low battery indicator, service due indicator and gear indicator.
The Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear features a first in segment Gear-Shift-Guide and Feather Touch gear shift mechanism and the special ‘Highway Gear’ called the H Gear allows smooth riding on the highway. The Gear-Shift-Guide, on the other hand, assists the rider to engage the optimum gear in start-stop traffic conditions. The feather touch gear mechanism claims to give a zero fatigue experience to the rider by helping the rider upshift and downshift with ease.
For cycle parts, the Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear features a telescopic type hydraulic front fork with 135mm of travel and dual SOS suspension with Nitrox gas canister with 110mm of wheel travel on the rear. For stopping power the Platina 110 H Gear comes with 240mm hydraulically operated disc brakes on the front and a 110mm internally expanding mechanical shoe type drum brake on the rear with CBS.
The Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear is available in two colour option – Blue and Red.
