Bridgestone has been selected to be the tyre partner for the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato. The company will develop all-terrain and winter tyres for the all-terrain, super sports car.
The Bridgestone Dueler All-Terrain AT002 has been designed keeping in mind the unique engineering requirements of the Huracan Sterrato. The tyre offers maximum performance both on and off the road. All the components of the tyre, like the special custom-made polymers, patterns and tyre technologies have been developed to improve the already stellar capabilities of the Huracan Sterrato. The driver will be able to extract maximum fun and thrill when the car is equipped with this tyre.
The tyre also offers Run-Flat capabilities, which makes it the first supercar all-terrain tyre to come with this feature. The tyre will help the rider reach to a safe spot even after getting a puncture. The punctured tyre can be driven for upto 80 km with a maximum speed of 80 km/h. This will add to the confidence of the driver to take the car across all types of roads without a worry.
The bespoke tyre has been developed and manufactured in Europe. A new tyre compound has been developed for this tyre which optimises grip and has a specific shoulder for extra grip in gravel or mud as well. The tread pattern has also been designed for best possible handling and high speed performance without compromise to the tyre’s off-road performance.
Only two sizes have been developed. The front wheel of the Huracan Sterrato will get 35/40 ZR19 (96Y) XL RFT while the rear will get 285/40 ZR19 (107Y) XL RFT.
Apart from this tyre, Bridgestone will offer the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 winter tyre in 235/40 R19 96Y XL and 285/40 R19 107Y XL sizes.
