Written by Nizam Shaikh

KTM is upgrading its much-popular ‘390 Series’ with two new motorcycles, which will be launched soon in India. The power sports motorcycle manufacturer will not only bring the all-new 390 Adventure but also a new 390 Enduro model. Both the 390 Adventure and 390 Enduro have been spotted testing in India, and appear to be in the final production-ready avatar.

Spyshots of both the KTM 390 ADV and Enduro, have now emerged on the internet. It looks like the motorcycles are being tested on the outskirts of Pune close to the Bajaj-KTM production facility. While, the test rider tried very hard to get away from the chasing videographer, in lieu of safety he couldn’t speed away on the public road. Ultimately the videographer somehow managed to catch them back bringing us the first clear images of both the 390 ADV and the Enduro model testing together in India.

KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Enduro – What’s Different?

The new KTM 390 Adventure is likely to come with a new design and upgraded features. The brand is also likely to offer the new LC4C (Liquid-Cooled 4-Valve Compact) engine on the new 390 Adventure and Enduro. The new engine made its debut on the latest-gen 390 Duke in India. The new 390 Adventure and Enduro are likely to use a completely new chassis, new suspension, new wheel setup (Enduro), as well as a new body design and ergonomics. The brand is also likely to update the electronics suite on the new motorcycles.

Both motorcycles are likely to share the engine, electronics as well as the chassis, brakes and suspension. But, the new Enduro model is likely to come with off-road specific features. These features are likely to be knobby tyres, longer travel suspension and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke-wire rims.

Spyshots also reveal a flat bench seat, raised handlebar and single smaller headlamp unit. However, expect the Enduro model to come with an electronics suite similar to the 390 Adventure. The Enduro is also likely to come with a higher ground clearance compared to the 390 Adventure and is also likely to come with a taller saddle height and a commanding seating position.

The 390 Adventure is likely to come with more road biased features, however, the motorcycle will be fully capable of going off-roads. The 390 Adventure is also likely to come with road-biased tyres, twin projector headlamps and a tall windscreen. In addition to this, the ADV is also likely to get slightly stiffer suspension setup for better cornering speed on tarmac.

The bike is also likely to come with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke-wire rims on the top-spec model and the mid-spec trim is like to come with an alloy setup in the same size. The 390 Adventure also appears to come with a main/centre stand which is likely to be a dealer option when the motorcycle goes on sale. The spied motorcycles also appear to get adjustable front suspension and a high-mounted instruments panel.

KTM is likely to debut the new 390 Adventure and the 390 Enduro by the end of this year in India.
