Chinese-owned, British automotive manufacturer MG Motor announced a teaser via its Twitter handle for an all-new, upcoming 4.3-metre EV. The company also stated that its new EV would make its global debut in Q4 2022 for the UK market. Not much is known about MG’s upcoming EV except that it will measure 4,300mm in length, rivalling other compact SUVs. With the Volkswagen ID.3 being its closest rival, MG has also designed the new EV catering to UK-based customers.

Design Leaks

From the recently released teaser, MG showcased the EV sporting a crossover or a hatchback-based design with sharp shoulder lines. Along with the aerodynamically-optimised bodywork, the EV also teases the 17-inch alloy wheels and LED taillights with turn indicators. MG has also implemented an extended light bar on the rear of the EV and a contrasting black roof.

It’s unclear whether the EV will sport a standard sunroof or a panoramic one, but its mirrors contain cameras within. This means that the upcoming EV is likely to feature a 360-degree parking camera along with Blind Spot Monitoring. However, MG is yet to announce the key details of the electric powertrain that will make its eventual debut.
