Bookings open for MV Agusta Superveloce Serie Oro limited edition

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Italian premium superbike brand MV Agusta has opened online bookings of the Superveloce Serie Oro. As reported earlier, the limited edition model is expected to be delivered in 2020 with only 300 production units which will come at a price tag of GBP 24,700.

The concept model of the bike was showcased at the EICMA 2018 and the production model is expected to retain most of the hardware shown on the concept. And if that happens, the MV Agusta Superveloce will get a fully digital instrument console, LED headlamps and tail lamps, leather strapped fuel filler lid, rear seat cowl, round rear tail lamps, crimson red seats, gold finished frame, SC Project exhaust and more, but features like yellow tinted headlamp covers and yellow tinted visor may not make it to the road going model, due to safety norms.

The engine on the Superveloce will most likely be shared with the MV Agusta F3 800 which is powered by a 799cc, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 148 HP of power and 88 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The Superveloce may be tuned to get more power out of the engine as it is a limited edition model.

Though the motorcycle pays tribute to the old MV Agusta GP race machines, the electronics package is expected to be fairly modern with ABS, Traction Control and Riding Modes among others. The production model is expected to be showcased at the EICMA Motor Show in November followed by its launch next year around March 2020.
