Bookings open for Mini Countryman electric crossover in India

Written by News Team

Mini has announced the opening of bookings for its all-electric crossover, the Mini Countryman, in India. The new EV can be booked on the BMW website and it will go on sale next month.

Design and Aesthetics

The 2024 Mini Countryman electric model boasts a sleeker design, retaining the classic five-door silhouette that is synonymous with the brand. It features a distinctive octagonal front grille, complemented by newly designed LED headlights that offer customizable light patterns for the daytime running lights. The side profile is enhanced with fresh alloy wheel designs, available in sizes up to 20 inches.

At the rear, the vehicle sports modern, pixelated LED taillights, adding to its contemporary appeal. Mini has made the electric Countryman available in six color options, including Smokey Green, Slate Blue, Chilli Red II, British Racing Green, Blazing Blue, and Midnight Black, catering to a variety of personal preferences.

Interior Innovations

Inside, the Mini Countryman electric crossover introduces a minimalist yet sophisticated cabin, continuing the iconic circular motif that Mini is known for. The dashboard is dominated by a 9.4-inch round OLED touchscreen that serves as the central hub for both infotainment and driver information, eliminating the need for a traditional instrument cluster. An optional heads-up display enhances the driving experience by projecting crucial information directly into the driver’s line of sight.

The vehicle’s interior also features a wireless charging tray, a panoramic glass roof that amplifies the sense of space, and rear seats with a 40:20:40 split, allowing for an expansion of trunk space from 460 to 1450 liters.

Performance and Range

Under the hood, the Mini Countryman electric is equipped with a 66.4 kWh battery pack, promising a range of over 400 kilometers on a single charge. The global lineup includes two variants: the E and the SE, both powered by the same battery pack but offering different power outputs.

Safety and Technology

On the safety front, the electric crossover is outfitted with a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, steering and lane keep assist, traction control, dynamic stability control, and an electronic parking brake.

The official prices for the Indian market are expected to be announced soon, as the company gears up for the vehicle’s debut on Indian roads.
