Bookings open for Ford Aspire facelift

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Ford has started accepting bookings for the facelift model of their Aspire compact-sedan. The new Ford Figo twins, the Figo hatchback and the Aspire compact-sedan have been very average sellers in the market, and demand has not really shown any promising growth in the recent times. The 2018 Aspire comes with cosmetic changes and will be launched on 4th October, 2018.

Exterior changes on the Ford Aspire facelift include reworked front and rear bumpers, new front grille, refreshed headlamp and tail lamps, new alloy wheels and extra dose of chrome. Inside you get a bigger touchscreen infotainment system as seen on the new EcoSport & Freestyle, reworked steering mounted controls, slightly modified centre console and the rest seems to be carried over.

The Ford Aspire is quite a proportionate car in the compact-sedan segment. It surely looks good, and rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and Volkswagen Vento.

The outgoing model of the Aspire comes with a 1.2L petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine option. It remains to be seen if Ford will introduce the new Dragon series petrol motor for the Aspire.
