BMW X7 xDrive30d DPE launched at INR 92.50 lakh

BMW has launched a new entry-level model of the X7 at the price of INR 92.50 lakh ex-showroom. The BMW X7 xDrive30d DPE is now the new base trim and undercuts the previous base trim the X7 xDrive30d DPE Signature by INR 10 lakh. The X7 xDrive30d DPE Signature was priced at INR 98.90 lakhs in the last year and for 2020 the price on the Signature model has been increased to INR 1.02 crore ex-showroom.

The BMW X7 xDrive DPE and the X7 xDrive DPE Signature are powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that produces 265 hp of power and 620 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed  Steptronic Sports Automatic transmission that sends the power to all four wheels via an Intelligent 4-Wheel-Drive system with variable torque distribution. The SUV features driving modes – ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT and ADAPTIVE. The X7 also comes with launch control function, cruise control with braking function, integrated braking system and adaptive 2-axle air suspension. 

In terms of its styling and equipment, the X7 xDrive30d features a large kidney grille with vertical slats and adaptive air flap system that helps improve the SUV’s aerodynamic efficiency. The X7 xDrive DPE features adaptive LED headlights while the mid-spec DPE Signature model gets the adaptive LED setup with BMW Laserlight technology. L-shaped LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, LED taillights, three-part electric sunroof, two-part electric tailgate, 21-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting on the interiors, 12.3-inch instruments display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display with built-in navigation and BMW Operating System and parking assistant as standard across the range. 

The BMW X7 also comes in the top-spec xDrive40i M Sport trim powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that produces that 340 hp of power and 450 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission powering all four wheels via a variable torque distribution system. In terms of its styling, the X7 xdrive40i M Sport gets the M Sport exterior and interior package which features aerodynamic front and rear aprons, side skirts, 21-inch M Light alloys, door sills with M designation, M Leather steering wheel etc. The top of the line xDrive40i M Sport is priced at INR 1.06 crore ex-showroom.

BMW is also expected to launch the performance-oriented X7 M50d with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder quad-turbocharged engine that produces 400 hp of power and 760 Nm of torque, further expanding the brand’s SUV portfolio in India.
