BMW Motorrad sold 5,000 motorcycles in 2021 in India

BMW Motorrad India has received a very positive response in terms of sales figures for 2021. The company mentioned that for the given year, over 5,000 motorcycles made it to the customers’ hands. And this makes it an all-time high figure. The top-selling products among all the models on sale were G 310 R and G 310 GS. Both these motorcycle sales accounted for almost 90 per cent of the yearly sales. Other than these two, The BMW C 400 GT, R 1250 GS / GSA, The BMW R18 Classic, the BMW S 1000 R and the BMW M 1000 RR were also in much demand.

BMW mentioned that BMW Financial Services played a major role in expanding the company’s business across the country. Customers were offered an array of flexible financial solutions. Since the past few years, there has been a steady increase in the sale of luxury motorcycles in India. When compared to 2020, BMW Motorrad India has posted a growth of over 100 per cent in 2021. Furthermore, the motorcycle maker also confirmed that they are committed to launching new products into the market and staying true to their motto of ‘Make life a Ride’.

BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy

The motorcycle maker had recently organized the Bhubaneswar leg of the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy. This event is a great platform for all off-road enthusiasts who want to showcase their skills. Furthermore, the winners will get to represent ‘Team India’ at the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2022. From here, the team will go on to compete against teams from Brazil, China, France, Germany, Japan, Latin America, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, South East Asia, South Korea, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

The most recent introduction to the BMW India lineup is the K 1600 range. With this, the motorcycle will go head to head with Honda Gold Wing, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT and Honda NT1100. A total of four motorcycles fall under the K 1600 range. These are K 1600 GT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B, and K 1600 Grand America.
