Design of the BMW Motorrad R 18 100 Years

In terms of design, the bike R 18 borrows styling cues from the iconic BMW R 5 bike. This motorcycle is for the purists and has a no frills attitude along with a large Boxer engine.
Over all, BMW has gone for a classic look with black paint and high gloss chrome elements.

In terms of the colour scheme, the R 18 100 Years gets black as a symbolic colour on the engine, transmission and rear axle. BMW calls this colour as the Avus Black, which is a reminder of the high-speed track back in Berlin, Germany. It was here that BMW Motorrad witnessed racing successes. It is also the home to the company plant. The bike also gets double white lines as well as a 100 Years badge.

BMW has equipped the Option 719 seat with the R 18 100 Years. The seat is finished in a black and oxblood colour combination along with diamond embossing pattern. Further, BMW has also offered other special features like the high-grade surface concept.
