BMW Motorrad F 850 GS Pro launched in India at INR 12,50,000

BMW Motorrad has announced the launch of the new F 850 GS Pro and F 850 GS Adventure Pro in the Indian market. The brand boasts that the BMW Motorrad 850 GS is the perfect combination of adventure and off-road performance. The motorcycle features an enduro-racing inspired design and enhanced equipment as standard. The bookings for BMW Motorrad F 850 GS is now open through all BMW Motorrad showrooms in the Indian market.

BMW Motorrad F 850 GS – Price and Variants

The BMW Motorrad F 850 GS comes with a starting price tag of INR 12.50 lakh ex-showroom. The price tag is for the entry-level BMW Motorrad F 850 GS Pro. The top-spec BMW Motorrad F 850 GS Adventure Pro comes with a price tag of INR 13.25 lakh ex-showroom. Furthermore, the brand has revealed that the BMW Motorrad F 850 GS will arrive on Indian soil via the Completely Built-up Units (CBU) route. The deliveries for the motorcycles will commence in June 2022. 

BMW Motorrad F 850 GS – Design and Styling

The BMW Motorrad F 850 GS comes features the iconic asymmetric headlight. The bike also gets the typical GS flyline offering a dynamic and masculine design. The F 850 GS Pro comes with Rallye style and Racing Blue metallic colour and the hand-protector bars, black fixed fork tubes, gold rims and galvanised radiator cowl. The BMW F 850 GS Adventure Pro comes with the Rallye style and Kalamata metallic matt paintwork with gold rims and fixed fork tubes. BMW is also offering the Adventure in Style Triple Black in the aggressive Black Storm metallic colour scheme.

BMW Motorrad F 850 GS – Technical Specifications

Powering the G 850 GS Pro and F 850 GS Adventure Pro is an 853cc liquid-cooled four-valve, parallel twin-cylinder engine. The engine with an electronic fuel injection system and two counterbalance crankshafts produces 95 Hp of power and 92 Nm of torque. The motor is matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also comes with ‘Rain’ and ‘Road’ riding modes as well as Riding modes Pro – ‘Dynamic’ and ‘Enduro’ integrating DTC dynamic traction control and banking capable ABS Pro. Suspension duties are handled by Upside Down Fork and a steering stabiliser. On the rear, the bike comes with Strut with Travel-dependent Damping (WAD) and adjustable preload and rebound. 

BMW Motorrad F 850 GS – Top Features

BMW Motorrad F 850 GS comes with features such as a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display. The instrument cluster integrates BMW Motorrad multi-controller and connectivity functions. The dashboard also integrates Phone and Media functions. The bike also comes with an extensive electronics package which includes:- 

  • Cruise Control
  • Dynamic Engine Brake Control (MSR)
  • Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)
  • DTC Dynamic Traction Control Disengageable
  • Keyless Ride

The bike also comes with Heated Grips, Luggage Rack with Case Holders, USB Charging Interface, Engine Skid Plate and an Adjustable Windscreen, to name a few.
