After opening the booking books for the BMW M340i xDrive just a few days ago, taking into account the overwhelming response, BMW has launched the M engineered 3 Series in the Indian market at the price of INR 62.90 lakh ex-showroom. The BMW M340i xDrive is the brand’s first high-performance car made locally in the Indian market produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai with the first M engine to be made in India. BMW is also offering customized and flexible financial solutions for the M340i xDrive through BMW India Financial Services as well as Service Inclusive and Service Inclusive Plus package to reduce the cost of ownership. The service packages include Condition Based Service (CBS) and maintenance work and ranges from 3 yrs / 40,000 km to 10 yrs / 2,00,000 km.
Powertrain
Powering the BMW M340i xDrive is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo engine with 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission that produces 387 Hp of power and 500 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an M Sport Differential, M Sport Suspension, M Sport Brakes, Variable Sport Steering with Servotronic Steering Assist, Launch Control Function, Cruise Control with Braking Function, BMW EfficientDynamics, M Sport exhaust unit, BMW Driving Experience Control – Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport & Sport+ and an xDrive – intelligent 4WD system with variable torque distribution.
Design & Styling
The BMW M340i xDrive comes in three exterior colour options – Dravit Grey, Sunset Orange and Tanzanite Blue along with exclusive Alcantara/Sensatec combination upholstery in Black with contrast stitching Blue on the interiors. The sporty sedan features the hallmark BME kidney grille with mesh inserts and chrome bezels or the optional black finish grille on the Sunset Orange finish. The car features a long hood, short overhangs, a sloping roofline, a wide and athletic stance with aerodynamically optimized body elements and an M rear spoiler on the tailgate. The car comes with 18-inch M light-alloy wheels upgradable to 19-inch M light-alloy wheels. Also enhancing its style are the Cerium Grey metallic finish ORVM housings, air intake struts, trapezoidal tailpipe trims and model lettering.
