BMW has launched a special edition of its 1 Series hatchback, called the 1 Series M Performance Edition. Mercedes-Benz launched the A-Class and B-Class Edition 1 almost a month back, and Audi is soon coming up with the A3 sedan; hence, the launch of this special edition doesn’t come across as a surprise. This special edition will be limited to 111 units, pan India. The car is now available for sale across all BMW dealerships.
To add a slightly sporty touch, and to justify the variant nomenclature of ‘M Performance’, the 1 Series now comes with the M accessories package which includes a black kidney grille, sporty bumpers, racing stripes running across the body, rear spoiler with fins, new alloy wheel design and a M Performance badge. There are no mechanical changes to the car, and the same petrol and diesel engines do the duty on this special edition.
