BMW Group India unveiled the new BMW X3 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Priced at INR 75,80,000 (ex-showroom), the fourth-generation X3 blends everyday usability with leisure and travel requirements.
2025 BMW X3 – Whats New
The new X3 features a refreshed exterior design with a modern and dynamic look. It includes a large front grille inspired by the XM, complete with a lighted surround known as the “Iconic Glow”. The grille’s unique pattern, with vertical and diagonal lines, is echoed throughout the vehicle, including at the rear.
The X3 comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, sleek LED headlights, and distinctive daytime running lights. The interior boasts premium materials, an updated digital interface, and the latest BMW iDrive system powered by BMW Operating System 9 and QuickSelect.
Powertrain and Features
The car offers both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant features a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine generating 208 hp and 330 Nm of torque. The diesel variant comes with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 197 hp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels.
Inside, the X3 includes a 14.9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, and a 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Other features include ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, and tri-zone climate control.
Safety features include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill descent control, a tyre pressure monitor, parking assist, and a 360-degree camera.
Competition
The BMW X3 faces competition from several established luxury SUVs in the market. Porsche Macan is known for its performance and advanced technology, while Audi Q5 offers a blend of luxury and practicality. Mercedes-Benz GLC stands out with its luxurious interiors and advanced features. Volvo XC60 provides a balance of safety and comfort, and Lexus NX offers a refined driving experience.
