BMW India recently announced that as a part of BMW M Division’s 50th-anniversary celebrations, it will launch 10 exclusive ’50 Jahre M Edition’ models in the country. And after the launch of the first of these, the second one has arrived. The brand has now launched the 6-Series 50 Jahre M Edition in the country.

The model will be available only in one variant and engine option – 630i M Sport. The exclusive edition comes with a sticker price of INR 72,90,000 ex-showroom. The new model will be available in limited numbers. However, BMW did not mention the exact number. Interested customers can book the car from today using the BMW India website.

BMW 630i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition – Highlights

The new 50 Jahre M Edition of the 6-Series GT will be available in four colour options. These options are – Mineral White, M Carbon Black, Tanzanite Blue and Bernina Grey Amber Effect. Meanwhile, the interiors will only be available in a Natural Leather Dakota upholstery in Cognac finish and contrast stitching.

There are no changes to the exteriors of the car except for the M Emblem, which draws inspiration from the classic BMW Motorsport logo. The M Emblem replaces the regular BMW logos on the front and back and also logos on the wheel hub caps. The model also features BMW Laserlight. The feature is unique in the segment and can light up to 650 metres away.

Furthermore, a Motorsport Pack is also available as an M Accessories Package. It adds High Gloss Black BMW Kidney Grile, Carbon fibre and Alcantara finish for the key fob and Jet Black 19-inch M Light alloy wheels.

The interiors of the model justify its GT name. It is the perfect place to be in for high-speed driving as well as long journeys. The front seats offer full-electric adjustment and a memory function. At the back, the seat has an electrically adjustable backrest angle and comfortable headrest cushions. The bench’s backrest angle is also electrically adjustable.

BMW 630i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition – Powertrain

Since it is available in the 630i version, it comes with a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The engine has a maximum output of 258 HP and 400 Nm of torque. Helping with these figures is BMW’s TwinPower Turbo technology. Furthermore, BMW says it offers the best-in-class acceleration figures. The 630i gets from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.5 seconds. Power goes to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic gearbox.
