BluSmart electric cabs complete 4.75 million pollution-free kilometres

India’s first electric ride-hailing platform, BluSmart has announced that the brand has completed 175,000 trips in Delhi-NCR completely on electric power with a total of 4.75 million pollution-free kilometres in their silent and sanitized electric cabs. BluSmart is one of a kind on-demand electric taxi service in this new age of mobility that helps reduce PM 2.5, PM5 & CO2 emissions making the environment cleaner and provides eco-friendly mobility solutions.

By being a 100% electric mobility platform the brand on this World Environment Day has pledged to keep the environment clean and green by ensuring the environment is not harmed in any way. The brand claims to reduce the Co2 level up to 65 gms/KM and has saved 325 tonnes of Co2 since its launch on 4th June 2019. 

Additionally, the brand has also saved other pollutants such as particulates (soot), volatile organic compounds, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, ozone, lead, and various oxides of nitrogen that are emitted from conventional Internal Combustion Engine vehicles. The BluSmart cabs are also thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, twice a day during the charging time to ensure the safety of their customer as well as their driver-partners. 

BluSmart has partnered with the world’s leading electric vehicle manufactures and employs a fleet of Mahindra eVerito which is powered by a 31 kW 3 Phase AC Induction Motor that generates 91 Nm of torque and is equipped with a 550 A controller. The electric powertrain is coupled to a 21.2 kWh Lithium-Ion battery with 288 Ah installed capacity. The electric powertrain is equipped with a single-speed direct-drive transmission with a 10.83:1 gear ratio. 

The Mahindra eVerito can provide a claimed driving range of 181 km and can achieve a top speed of 86 kmph while fleet cars are electronically limited to 80 kmph top speed. The Mahindra eVerito can be charged from 0% to 80% SOC in 1 hour 30 minutes using a fast charger unit and 0% to 100% state of charge can be achieved in 11 hours 30 minutes using normal charging.
