Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has announced a new pre-owned commercial vehicle division. The BharatBenz Certified brand will offer refurbishment and sale of pre-owned BharatBenz trucks.

BharatBenz is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG. The company has been operating in the Indian market over the past 10 years and more. Over these years, the truck maker has realised that their trucks offer a longer life cycle than the industry average. Thanks to this, a pre-owned BharatBenz truck will be viable for new customers as well. According to BharatBenz, an average truck in India lasts around 5-6 years doing millions of km. However, a typical BharatBenz will outlast this.
BharatBenz Certified : More Details
Vehicles sold under the BharatBenz Certified program will undergo a 125-point quality check. All vehicles will then have a thorough technical check along with repair and restoration if required. They will also undergo a pre-delivery inspection before dispatch.
The company will also offer all Certified trucks with a 6-month warranty. Apart from this, new owners will have a chance to go for an annual maintenance contract or transfer the AMC and the warranty to their name if the truck already has it.
BharatBenz Exchange : Truck Exchange program
Apart from the BharatBenz Certified, the truck maker also has an exchange scheme running. Owners of other brand trucks will be able to exchange their vehicles for a new BharatBenz truck.
Launch timeline of the BharatBenz Certified
Initially, BharatBenz will launch the certified pre-owned program at Trident Trucking, Bengaluru. Over time, this will be expanded to other cities across the country.
BharatBenz has been in the Indian market since 2010. The company’s trucks are known to be technologically superior and offer longer service intervals amongst others. In terms of features as well, the truck maker is offering higher comfort to the drivers thanks to features like factory fitted AC, accessory outlet, rear view camera, and more.
