Daimler India Commercial Vehicles announced that the brand has announced 10 new touchpoints for the BharatBenz brand kickstarting the Diwali festive season. The new touchpoints will add around 300,000 square feet of workspace which will include 40 working bays. The expansion will allow improvement of the service capability from 13,000 a year to over 40,000 vehicles per month significantly improving the turn around time for BharatBenz vehicles as well as improving the brand’s reach in regional areas.

The new service touchpoints are located in Mehsana, Mahad and Rajnandgaon in the Western region, Kotputli and Muzaffarnagar in the North and Marthandam, Namakkal, Mallanna Sagar, Koothattukulam and Haripad in the south. The brand reveals that the locations have been chosen strategically to cater to a wide segment of customers. For example, the majority of tipper truck buyers are located in Rajnandgaon and Muzaffarnagar is an important location which sees a lot of tractor-trailers and rigid trucks. Likewise, Mehsana which is an industrial hub has a majority of tankers and Mallanna Sagar and Namakkal are one of the most significant transportation hubs in the country.

In the month of September, DICV also announced that the BharatBenz brand will expand its dealership network by 10% in the Indian market, which means that the network will cross the 250 outlet mark by the end of 2020. The new touchpoints also add to the brand’s service commitment which also cuts the company’s goal of having a dealership in 120 km from the previous 160 km. The company also revealed that in some regions such as Kerala the distance between touchpoint is as close as 70 km.

The new touchpoints are located close to the national and state highways which improve the brand’s network in the golden quadrilateral. The facilities are not only equipped with spare parts and diagnostic tools but also skilled technicians. Furthermore, BharatBenz also employs a mobile service van to attend breakdowns offering complete peace of mind to driver-partners and fleet operators alike.
