Bentley teases all-new Flying Spur

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Luxury British car brand Bentley on its 100th anniversary year has teased us with the all-new Flying Spur. The brand will be introducing the all-new 4-door Grand Tourer model soon and the car will come with many advanced features including an automotive world-first 3-dimensional textured leather upholstery developed by Bentley’s craftsmen and women in Crewe, England.

The all-new Flying Spur will be in its third generation and looking at the teaser photos and videos in which the car is partially camouflaged, the car gets a rectangular grille with a large lower air dam and the rounded headlights are expected to be all LED units. The front fascia keeps in line with the Bentley design language and so does the rear which gets a more rectangular 3D ‘B’ shaped taillights in LED and a squared-off boot. The exhaust pipe finishers are seen in an oval shape and are likely to get a black chrome finish. Full details of the all-new Flying Spur will be available closer to its launch.

The video shows the all-new Flying Spur being tested on Bentley’s private proving grounds and also gives a few hints on the luxury grand touring limousine’s equipment. The car will feature an all-wheel-drive system as standard and the all-wheel-drive system is expected to be biased like the Continental GT with the car powering only the rear wheels and when wheel-slip is detected it will send power to the front wheels to get more grip. The luxury Grand Tourer is likely to have adaptive dampers with air suspension and an anti-roll bar and the car will get all-wheel-steering.

The Bentley All-New Flying Spur will make its global debut on 11th June 2019.
