Bentley introduces Bentayga Speed Space Edition

Bentley Orlando has customised a Bentayga Speed with a space theme for one of its customers. Leveraging Mulliner’s extensive palette options, Bentley has built this sleek looking Bentayga Speed.

Bentley Bentayga Speed Space Edition – Exteriors

Donned with the exterior paint shade of Cypress, which we earlier saw at the launch of the first-generation Continental GT in 2003, the SUV is a head-turner for sure. The use of green undertones along with the metallic grey shade creates a dark and stone-like exterior. Furthermore, the use of Blackline Specification that replaces all exterior bright ware with gloss black version adds to the touch. We also see an excellent use of Orange Flame accents to the gloss carbon fibre. This resembles comet dust trails racing across the night sky, thus adding a bright contrast to the Cypress paintwork.

Let’s Talk About The Interiors

The very first step that we take to enter the car, i.e. opening the door, we get to see the illuminated treadplates depicting planets orbiting a solar system. The dashboard, too, gets Orange Bezels around the Galaxy Stone fascias set into the dashboard and mirrored on the door waist rails. The interior gets Beluga and Porpoise trim, a perfect match for the SUV’s overall dark theme. Another highlighting equipment is the ‘Naim for Bentley’ sound system.

Mechanical And Hardware

Matching the aesthetics is the mechanical prowess of the SUV. The Bentayga gets a 6.0-litre W12 twin-turbocharged engine that delivers peak power of 635 PS and 900 Nm torque. With these figures, the car can propel from 0 to 100 kmph in under 3.9 seconds. The top is limited to 306 kmph. The driver also gets the option to use four driving modes. These are Comfort, Sport, Bentley and Custom. The perfect coupling of the W12 engine and the eight-speed automatic transmission ensures a responsive power output. Bentley is also talking highly of its Bentley Dynamic Ride. This is the world’s first electric active roll control technology that utilises a 48V system. This system helps deliver class-leading cabin stability, ride comfort and exceptional handling.
