Benelli’s TRK 251 & TRK 502 get a price hike in India

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Benelli has once again updated the prices of its products in the Indian market. With this, its adventure-tourer models, the TRK 251 and the TRK 502, have become costly. After the price increase, the TRK 251, which is a quarter-litre adventure tourer, is now available from INR 2,79,000 onwards as against Rs 2,73,000 previously. Meanwhile, the TRK 502 series now gets a price tag of INR 5,44,000 instead of INR 5,42,000 earlier. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom.

Furthermore, the Limited Edition TRK 502X Adventure Yellow gets the biggest price hike. This particular model is now INR 9,000 more expensive. This price hike does not bring any mechanical or aesthetic changes to the motorcycles mentioned above.

Thus, the TRK 251 continues with the BS6-compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 25.47bhp and 21.2Nm. The suspension setup consists of upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. Braking power comes from a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm rotor at the back. It rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends and has a ground clearance of 170mm.

There are three colours on offer – Glossy White, Glossy Black, and Glossy Grey.

On the other hand, the TRK 502 series uses a BS6-compliant 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor. The performance output of the motor stands at 46.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. For this, the suspension duty is taken care of by 50mm inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The rear monoshock also gets preload and rebound adjustability. The braking setup consists of 320mm dual discs with radial callipers at the front and a 260mm single disc with a floating piston calliper at the back. Like the 251, this motorcycle, too, rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.

Benelli TRK 502 is available in 7 colour options – Benelli Red, Benelli Red, Metallic Dark Grey, Pure White, Adventure Yellow, and Metallic Dark Grey.
