Benelli has officially unveiled the BKX300 adventure motorcycle at the EICMA 2023, showcasing a production version months after introducing the concept to the public.
What Is The BKX300?
This new addition to Benelli’s lineup departs from the more conventional design seen in the TRK range, which typically features a beak and robust bodywork. In contrast, the BKX300 embraces a minimalist design with its half-fairing and distinctive arrangement of LED lighting. The motorcycle presents a sleek and clean aesthetic, featuring a single-piece seat that seamlessly connects to the fuel tank. The rear of the BKX300 is adorned with LED tail lamps that integrate turn indicators, accompanied by an SC-Project exhaust parallel to the rear section.
Despite its streamlined appearance, the BKX300 doesn’t stop showcasing its engine, which is exposed under the bodywork. Powering the adventure bike is a 292cc single-cylinder engine, delivering a capable 29.2bhp and 24.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and features an assist and slipper clutch for smoother transitions. The hardware setup includes 19/17-inch spoke wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires. The double cradle frame is supported by non-adjustable forks at the front and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock with 180mm travel at both ends. Braking duties are handled by a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
Launch Timeline
The Benelli BKX300 is set to hit international markets soon, and anticipation is building for its potential arrival in India, expected around 2024. In the Indian market, it would compete with models such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 250 Adventure, offering adventure enthusiasts a compelling choice in the competitive adventure motorcycle segment. The BKX300 stands out for its unique design approach and packs the performance and features necessary to make a mark in the adventure biking scene.
