Written by Akhil Dalvi

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli has announced the commencement of bookings for its TRK 251 adventure tourer in India. As the youngest sibling of the TRK line-up, the 251 follows the same design language as its other tribe members. The TRK 251’s closest rivals in the adventure-motorcycle segment include the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the BMW Motorrad G 310 GS.

Customers can pre-book the TRK 251 for INR 6,000 at the nearest Benelli dealership or the official online website. Benelli has also stated that it has scheduled the deliveries of the TRK 251 from January 2022 across all dealerships. Benelli will offer the TRK 251 in 3 distinct colours- Glossy White, Glossy Black, and Glossy Grey.

Benelli TRK 251: Detailed Highlights

Featuring the DNA of an Italian ADV, the TRK 251 features a design that has been inspired by the TRK 502. At the front, the adventure-bike sports a sharp beak along with twin headlamps and a unique LED DRL. Benelli has also equipped the bike with a tall windshield for added wind and weather protection for the rider.

Along with chiselled side panels, the bike also sports integrated turn signals and an ergonomically designed seat for the rider. At the rear, the TRK 251 also features a sleek tail with luggage mounts and an integrated pillion grab rail. Completing the TRK 251’s looks are the 17-inch alloy wheels and upswept exhaust pipes.

Benelli TRK 251: Technical Specifications

Benelli has equipped the TRK 251 with a 249cc single-cylinder four-stroke four-valve DOHC motor with pressure splash lubrication. Paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the TRK 251 also features a wet multi-plate clutch for smoother yet aggressive shifts.

The TRK 251 features an Arch Bar Truck frame chassis that rides on an upside-down telescopic front suspension. The bike also sports a telescopic, oil-damped, coil spring rear suspension with 170mm of ground clearance and an 800mm seat height. Overall, the TRK 251 features an 18-litre fuel tank along with a dry weight of 164 Kg.
