Benelli Brigns In The New TRK 700 And TRK 700X In Europe
Despite being under Chinese ownership, Benelli has maintained its reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the global motorcycle market. The brand’s strong resources, thanks to its association with Qianjiang, position it as one of the more reputable players to emerge from China. With the introduction of the new TRK 700 platform, Benelli aims to make its mark in the middleweight adventure bike segment.
The TRK 700’s all-new 698cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine, with a standard 180-degree crankshaft, promises performance similar to the Kawasaki Versys 650. Generating 70 horsepower and 50 pound-feet of torque, the TRK 700 presents a compelling option for adventure enthusiasts.
Mechanical Highlights
The motorcycles feature a familiar frame setup with a steel trellis using the engine as a stressed member, offering improved rigidity and reduced weight. This translates to enhanced handling on both on and off-road terrains. Equipped with modern tech, including a full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth smartphone pairing, the TRK 700 and TRK 700X cater to the demands of the category.
Differentiated by their wheel setups, with the TRK 700 being more road-focused and the TRK 700X designed for rugged use, both models provide versatility to riders. With the European market launch already announced, it remains to be seen when the US and other markets will get these motorcycles.
