Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Benelli India has updated the prices of its motorcycles in the Indian market. The company’s retro-style Imperiale 400 gets an updated price tag with this price revision. With the newest price hike, this Royal Enfield Classic 350-rival now retails at INR 2,35,000 (ex-showroom, India). This is an increase of INR 21,000 over the previous ex-showroom price tag. Furthermore, all color options are now available with the same price tag.

Similar to the rest of Benelli’s products sold in India, this price hike does not add any cosmetic or mechanical changes to the motorcycle. Thus, it continues to get the same retro styling. Imperiale is a quintessential retro motorcycle. It retains the round headlamp with a chrome casing along with a round, chrome-finished turn indicators. The motorcycle also gets more chrome on the tail lamp, mirrors, levers, and spoke wheels. Built on a steel-double cradle frame, it holds a peanut-shaped fuel tank and a split-seat setup. Benelli has also equipped the motorcycle with a twin-pod instrument cluster with chrome bezels that give it a retro look.

Benelli Imperiale 400 Mechanicals

The motorcycle continues with the 374cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The performance output of the engine reads as 20.7 BHP of power and 29 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The feature list remains the same. The key highlights include a halogen headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS. Suspension duties are taken care of by 41mm telescopic forks up front and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. Meanwhile, braking power comes from a 300mm disc brake up front and a 240mm brake at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is a standard fitment for the motorcycle. As for the color options, the Benelli Imperiale 400 is available in three color options. These are, namely, black, red, and silver.

Rivals And Other Options

The Imperiale 400 has now become substantially more expensive with this price hike when compared to the highest-selling Royal Enfield motorcycle. Apart from the Royal Enfield Classic 350, customers have other options as well. This includes the Honda Hness CB350 and the Jawa Standard.
