Benelli 502C cruiser motorcycle confirmed for India in 2019

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Benelli has confirmed the 502C cruiser motorcycle for India. Similar to what Kawasaki has done with their 650cc motorcycles, Benelli is planning to do the same with their 500cc-class motorcycles. The 502C cruiser will share the engine and basic components with the likes of the recently launched TRK 502 adventure tourer and the upcoming Leoncino 500.

One look at the Benelli 502c, and no points for guessing that the bike takes inspiration from the Ducati Diavel. With a power cruiser design language, the Benelli 502C will rival the likes of Kawasaki Vulcan S & the Harley-Davidson Street 750 here in India. Now it is inevitable that the bike will also have to face unfair comparison with the likes of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, just for the heck of it.

Powering the bike will be a 499.6cc, 4-stroke, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing close to 45 Nm of torque and 35 kW of power matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

Does it look stylish? Yes it does! Features will include LED DRLs, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, contoured seats, wide handlebar, typical feet forward cruiser riding style, full digital dashboard, USD front fork, rear monoshock, twin exhaust pipes (end can), alloy wheels, sculpted fuel tank and the tyre hugger with integrated number plate mount.

Expect pricing of this motorcycle to be in the range of INR 5 lakh.
