Benelli has unveiled the new 2020 Benelli 302R in China with new anniversary edition colours at the price of CNY 32,800 which is approximately INR 3.5 lakh. The brand is yet to update the Benelli 302R in the Indian market to the new BS6 emission norm and with the launch of the new 302R China, the updated version is likely to arrive in Indian showrooms soon.

In the design department, the Benelli 302R does not get any drastic updates and looks pretty much the same but the new anniversary edition comes with new design graphics as well as colours. The anniversary edition 302R is offered in Green, Red, Blue and White. All the themes come with black graphics and contrast colour chassis finish. The 2020 model also gets an ‘Anniversary’ badge on the side fairing further distinguishing it from the standard.

The Benelli 302R continues to feature an aerodynamic nose cowling, twin split headlamps, race-style windscreen, angular side fairing, chiselled fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, semi step-up seats, rear-set footpegs, dual-tipped side slung exhaust in a metallic finish and mechanical hardware such as upside-down front forks, monoshock suspension on the rear, dual disc brakes on the front and a single disc unit on the rear, 17-inch alloy wheels etc.

The Benelli 302R has been introduced in the Indian market 3 years ago and the fully-faired motorcycle has a big bike appearance coupled with a head-turning exhaust note and is popular among entry-level sports bike enthusiasts and in the engine department, the BS4 Benelli 302R is powered by a 300cc In-line twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 8-valve DOHC engine that powers the BS4 Benelli 302R which produces 38.26 ps of power and 27 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The new unit which has been upgraded in China develops 35.35PS and 27 Nm which is 3 PS less than the current 302R in the Indian market leading us to believe that the 2020 Benelli 302R launched in China could be the BS6/Euro5 compliant version.
