Bajaj Qute quadricycle makes Hollywood debut

Renowned Indian two and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj has announced that its Qute quadricycle has been featured in a Hollywood movie. The movie in question is ‘The Lost City’ which stars Channing Tatum, Sandra Bullock, and Daniel Radcliffe in lead roles. Releasing in March 2022, the movie’s trailer showcases Channing Tatum driving the Bajaj Qute with Sandra Bullock as the passenger. The trailer eventually showcases the Bajaj Qute falling off a cliff after Sandra Bullock tries to open the door.

Bajaj Qute: Design Details

The Bajaj Qute features a quirky yet small design language with projector headlamps up front and a plastic-clad front bumper. The quadricycle features a single windscreen wiper, black ORVMs, rear taillights, 12-inch wheels, and a plastic-clad rear bumper. The Bajaj Qute sports a 1925mm wheelbase and measures 2752mm in length, 1652mm in height, and 1312mm in width. Priced at INR 2.63 lakh (ex-showroom), Bajaj offers the Qute in 4 colors- Yellow, Red, Blue, and Green.

Bajaj Qute: Technical Specs and Features

Powering the Qute quadricycle is a rear-mounted, 216cc, water-cooled, 4-valve motor with fuel injection technology using Petrol, CNG, or LPG. In petrol format, the engine produces 13 PS of power and 18.8 Nm of torque. However, whilst using CNG it produces 10.83 PS of power and 16.1 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, in LPG format the engine produces 12.28 PS of power and 18.03 Nm of torque.

Bajaj has paired the engine of the Qute to a 5-speed manual gearbox which sports a 70 kph top speed. The petrol-powered Qute can carry 290 Kg in total whereas the LPG and CNG-Powered versions can carry 320 Kg. The Qute offers a mileage of 34 kmpl using petrol, 50 km/kg using CNG, and 21 using LPG. In terms of features, the Qute sports a 3.5-meter turning radius, seating capacity for 4, and a powerful cooling fan.

In the competitive three-wheeler segment in India, the Maxima C has achieved a 45% market share between April 21st-November 21st, 2021.
