Bajaj Pulsar 220F gets single-channel ABS, priced at INR 1.05 lakh

Bajaj has been updating its motorcycle portfolio with ABS for a few weeks. Now, the brand has added this safety feature to their most popular Pulsar model. The 2019 Bajaj Pulsar 220F now comes with a single-channel ABS system, and it has been priced at INR 1.05 lakh. This is the first time the Bajaj Pulsar 220F has gotten such a mechanical update in a long time.

The non-ABS motorcycle, the Pulsar 220F costs INR 7,584 cheaper than this. We are guessing this is the same ABS unit we have seen on the Pulsar NS 200 & RS 200 siblings.

The bike apart from the ABS addition remains unchanged. Of course, there will be an increase in the kerb weight due to the ABS unit. Powering the bike is the same 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, DTSi motor producing 21 BHP of power @ 8500 RPM and 19 Nm of torque @ 7000 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Pulsar 220F gets a single-channel ABS. It means that ABS works only on the front wheel, although this bike also gets a rear disc brake. Single-channel ABS units are cheaper, hence this move.

The Pulsar 220F has been a very popular motorcycle. Even though new Pulsar models have been in showrooms, with latest tech, the 220F continues to see demand which is allowing Bajaj to keep breathing life into this motorcycle.
