Bajaj Auto has revealed its latest offerings in the electric scooter segment with the launch of the Chetak Premium 2024 and Chetak Urbane 2024. Since its launch in 2019, the Chetak electric scooter has garnered a significant user base, surpassing 1 lakh riders across 140+ cities in India. The scooter has been getting timely updates, and this is yet another one for the new year.
New Chetak, New Tech
The Chetak Premium 2024 boasts advanced functionality. One notable feature is the 5″ TFT display, a significant upgrade from the previous generation. Customers can further enhance their Chetak Premium 2024 with the optional TecPac, available for purchase on the Chetak website, offering additional features such as turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call alerts, and customizable display themes. The TecPac introduces features like Hill Hold Mode for confident ascents on inclines and a reverse mode for effortless maneuvering.
The Chetak Premium 2024 is equipped with Sequential Rear Blinkers and includes first-in-segment features such as self-cancelling blinkers, electronic handle and steering locks, seat switches, and a helmet box lamp. The addition of the “Green Score” feature allows users to track their environmental impact, fuel consumption reduction, and monetary savings, contributing to sustainability efforts.
Performance
In terms of performance, the Chetak Premium 2024 reaches a top speed of 73 km/h, and its new 3.2 kWh battery provides an extended range of 127 km. The onboard 800W charger facilitates a rapid 15.6 km range in 30 minutes.
Crafted with a solid metal body and an IP67-rated water resistance for all electrical components, the Chetak Premium 2024 is a durable scooter. The upgraded version also offers a larger boot for increased storage capacity. It is available in vibrant colors like Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, and Hazelnut.
The Chetak electric scooter range starts with the Urbane variant priced at ₹1.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Chetak Premium 2024 is priced at ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Test rides and online bookings can be arranged through the official Chetak website or at the nearest dealership.
