Bajaj Auto is planning to launch the CT model with a new updated 115cc engine which has already been equipped on the Platina and the Discover. Sources say the daily-commuter has started reaching dealerships but there is no announcement of its official launch date as of now. The updated motorcycle is likely to be called Bajaj CT110 and will be priced slightly higher than the predecessor, which according to a report suggests will be around INR 38,300 for the Kick start variant and INR 44,500 for the self-start variant (ex-showroom, Pune). At these prices, the bike will be INR 3,000 to INR 6,000 higher than the CT100, depending on the variant.

According to the images that have surfaced the internet, the new CT110 is likely to get features like larger crash guards, an upswept exhaust, rubber housing on the mirrors, front fork bellows, thick padding on the seat, etc. and the bike is also likely to get cosmetic changes such as a blacked-out engine, gearbox and front forks. The CT110 is also likely to come equipped with semi-knobby tyres to tackle the tough road conditions.

The engine powering the Platina 110 which is likely to be shared by the new CT110 and the Discover is a 115cc single cylinder, 4-stroke DTS-i engine producing 8.6 PS of power @ 7000 RPM and 9.81 Nm of torque @ 5000 coupled to a 4-speed gearbox and comes along with a carburetted fuel delivery system.

In the hardware department, the CT110 is likely to get telescopic front forks, dual spring-in-spring shock absorbers on the rear, tubular steel chassis and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The CT110 is likely to be available in three colour options

  • Gloss Ebony Black (With Blue Decals)
  • Gloss Flame Red (With Bright Red Decals)
  • Matte Olive Green (with Yellow Decals)

The CT110 will be placed at the entry-level and will be the most affordable daily commuter motorcycle in the brand’s line up. The bike is likely to be available very soon.
