Bajaj launches BS6 commuter motorcycles from INR 40,794

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched the most affordable BSVI compliant commuter motorcycle in the country starting at the price of INR 40,794 ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycle range comes in the form of the new CT and Platina range and is equipped with a unique Electronic Injection system designed and developed at Bajaj Auto’s state-of-the-art Research & Development centre along with their component partners. Bajaj claims that the new Electronic Injection system will be easy to maintain making sure an easy transition to the new technology.

The Bajaj CT range will still be available in two engine options a 100cc and 110cc and in addition to its current features, it will also get an LED daytime running light and a bash plate to protect the engine from stones that kick up on rough terrains. The BSVI compliant Platina will also be available in two variants the Platina 100 and Platina 110 H-Gear. 

In its current form, the CT 100 is powered by a  102cc, 4 stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.7 PS of power on the CT100 ES and 8.2 PS of power on CT 100 KS Alloy and CT 100 B. The CT 110 is powered by a 115cc, 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder, Air-Cooled engine that makes 8.6 PS of power. Both the CT 100 and CT 110 are equipped with a 4-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the current Platina 100 is powered by a 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with DTS-i and ExhausTEC and makes 7.9 PS of power and 8.34 Nm of torque coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. The Platina 110 H-Gear is powered by a 115cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.6 PS of power and 9.81 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed transmission. Other hardware on the Platina range includes a telescopic front fork and twin gas-charged shock on the rear and the bike comes with a 240mm hydraulic disc brakes on the front and 110 mm internally expanding mechanical drum brakes on the rear with CBS.

The new BSVI compliant Bajaj CT and Platina will be available for sale from 28th January 2020. The prices for the Bajaj Platina range starts from INR 47,264 ex-showroom, Delhi and the BSVI variant of Platina 100 Electric Start is priced at INR 54,797 ex-showroom, Delhi.
