Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG June 2025 price details
Launched in July 2024, the Freedom 125 became the first-ever CNG motorcycle to go on sale worldwide. While the expectations from it were high, the bike seems not to be getting the response that Bajaj imagined.
The CNG bike saw its first price revision in December 2024, shortly after the launch. However, the brand has now again revised the prices by slashing the sticker price by Rs 5,000.
The latest ex-showroom price of the Freedom 125 base variant is Rs 85,976, while the LED Disc variant is now priced at Rs 1.11 lakh.
Speaking of the Freedom 125, it is based on a bi-fuel 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor can be started directly on the CNG fuel, while developing 9.4 bhp of peak power and 9.7 Nm of peak torque.
As per the company’s claim, it can cover 102 km on pure CNG fuel. In terms of hardware, it is suspended on telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock at the rear. Bajaj offers the Freedom 125 in two variants: Drum and Disc.
Our verdict
While the Pune-based manufacturer has not spoken about the Freedom’s performance in the market, it is clearly visible that the CNG motorcycle is yet to be accepted in the semi-urban and rural markets of India. The CNG infrastructure is also scarce in the tier-3 regions of India, which adds to the sales problems for the Freedom 125.
