Bajaj Dominar 400 digital console update details
As per an exclusive report published online, a production unit of Dominar 400 has been spotted with a digital speedometer. It is the same LCD DOT-matrix console that is also used on the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z. The coloured screen has multiple features including smartphone connectivity, fuel consumption meter, ABS switch functionality, and more.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 has been a fairly low-selling product for the company. It belongs to the middle-weight performance segment which is now shadowed by the sibling products like the Triumph Speed 400. However, Bajaj seems not to be giving up on the Dominar 400.
Not long ago, reports surfaced that Bajaj is developing a new-gen Dominar with a refreshed design and engine performance. While we are still waiting for confirmation on the same by Bajaj, the latest spy shot confirms that a mid-life feature update is on its way.
Meanwhile, the engine and specifications of the new model will remain unchanged. It will continue using the 373.3cc liquid-cooled engine that is now OBD-2B compliant and produces 39.42bhp of peak power and 35Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper-assist clutch function.

Our verdict
The Dominar 400 is a potent product that offers good touring comfort along with a sporty performance package. It is also a value-for-money product because of its aggressive price tag. However, it now feels outdated, which Bajaj is trying to overcome by the upcoming digital console update.
