BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 launched at INR 1.92 lakh

Bajaj has launched the Dominar 400 in its BS6 avatar at the prie of INR 1,91,751 ex-showroom, Delhi. While the outgoing BS4 version of the Dominar 400 was priced at INR 1,90,002 ex-showroom, Delhi. The Bajaj Dominar 400 comes in two paint options Aurora Green and Vine Black. 

In the engine department, the Dominar 400 is now equipped with a BS6 compliant 373.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve triple-spark fuel-injected DOHC engine that produces 40 ps of power and 35 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate slipper clutch. 

In terms of design, the Bajaj Dominar 400 features a roadster styling and comes with LED headlights & LED taillights with an auto headlamp on function, body-coloured headlight shroud, black inserts on the headlights, a small flyscreen, an angular tank design, ergonomic seating, upright handlebar, twin-tipped exhausts, body-coloured belly cowl, a fully digital negative LCD instruments console with tank-mounted secondary display and telltale lights. 

For cycle parts, the Dominar 400 comes with a black treated beam type perimeter frame that rides on 43mm upside-down telescopic forks at the front with 135mm of travel and a multistep adjustable Nitrox gas equipped monoshock suspension on the rear with 110mm of wheel travel. The stopping power on the Dominar 400 comes from a 320mm single disc on the front and a single 230mm disc on the rear equipped with hydraulically operated callipers armed with a dual-channel ABS. 

In terms of its dimensions, the Dominar 400 is 2,156mm long, 835mm wide, 1112mm in height and has a 1,453mm of wheelbase with a ground clearance of 157mm and a kerb weight of 184 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 13-litres. 

Bajaj Auto has also announced that the brand will be extending the Original Equipment Warranty and free service period that were to lapse between 20th March and 30th April will now be extended till the 31of May for all two-wheelers, in view of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
