Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has announced the doubling of its Chetak network during the first 6 weeks of 2022. Bajaj Auto has added New Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa to the list of locations where it will sell the Chetak. Customers can now book the all-metal body electric scooter across 20 Indian cities with a waiting period of 4-8 weeks. Interested customers can also book the e-scooter seamlessly by paying INR 2,000 via the official online website.

Dealership Network & Expansion Plans

In 2021, Bajaj Auto opened the bookings for its Chetak e-scooter across 8 cities and re-opened them for 2022. During the first 6 weeks, the company opened bookings across an additional 12 Indian cities, bringing the total to 20. These cities include Coimbatore, Madurai, Kochi, Kozhikode, Hubli, Visakhapatnam, Nashik, Vasai, Surat, Delhi, Mumbai, and Mapusa.

By adding Delhi and Mumbai to its portfolio, Chetak has successfully entered two of India’s largest markets for EVs. Bajaj states that Chetak’s success in India as a product comes from its quality, thorough testing, dependability, and reliability. By expanding its sales and service network, Baja Auto has reduced the anxiety of interested consumers looking for electric two-wheelers.
